The number of osteoblasts and osteoclasts in hypofunctional teeth during orthodontic tooth movement in rats

چکیده
Background: When moved orthodontically, hypofunctional teeth will have a decreased tooth movement rate compared to normal teeth. Hypofunctional would less VEGF expression and heparan sulfate proteoglycan production during orthodontic movement. This study aimed determine the number of osteoblasts in tension side osteoclasts pressure Method: 18 male Wistar rats were given palatal coil spring application on maxillary incisors. Rats divided into two groups, group with occlusion (NO) (HO). The days zero (D0), five (D5), 10 (D10) tested two-way ANOVA. Observations made by hematoxylin eosin staining. Result: The results showed that HO was same at NO (p> 0.05). groups D5 D10 (p = 0.99), but significantly higher 0.002), than D0. lower <0.05). other <0.05). Conclusions: not affected state movement.

Background and Aim: Estrogen affects the metabolism in females. This study aimed to assess the effect of absence of estrogen on orthodontic tooth movement in rats. Materials and Methods: In this animal study, 55 rats were randomly divided into four groups. Group 1 (n=10) had intact ovaries. In group 2 (n=15), ovaries were intact but the rats were subjected to stress due to tooth preparation. I...
